5 Favorite Moritz

1) Tyler Michaels (Theater Latte Da, Minneapolis)

2) John Gallagher Jr. (OBC)

3) Gerard Canonico (Broadway)

4) Coby Getzug (2NT)

5) Taylor Trensch (1NT)

I meant to keep these to just the Broadway and immediate replica productions (1NT, 2NT, OLC, etc) but I had to include the Minneapolis production because it was the most powerful Moritz I’ve seen, probably because he reminds me of a friend I lost.

Day 12…My least favorite scene…………
I don’t know, I honestly don’t. I mean even scenes that are painful are incredibly important tot he story. This play is so condensed, every moment is pivotal, and interrelated. I honestly cannot name a scene that I don’t connect with, every scene has a moment that hits me, therefore I cannot give you a scene. So instead of posting a picture from a scene instead I give you a picture of JGJ with a unicorn, you’re welcome.

Day 9…Favorite Moritz…Tyler Michaels

Out of every Moritz I have seen there has been no one who has touched me so much. He definitely had a different take on Moritz, as many people in this production did on many of the characters. There are two distinct moments that stick out to me about his performance. The note held at the end of “And Then There Were None” was heartbreaking. ¬†Also I have heard the line “I’ll tell them, I’m ready now, I’ll be an angel.” many times but in the Theater Latte Da production, it struck me, struck me into a big ol’ ball of emotion. He was a one of the top reasons I saw the production as many times as I did.
